THE TRASH PANDA SOUNDBOARD
Good sounds. Questionable behaviour.
Alpha 0.3 • Local audio • No network until enabled
Full-file waveform: side handles trim. Orange top handles set fades. Times are seconds, shown to two decimal places.
Map each bus to a device on this computer. Select Main, Aux 1 or Aux 2 in cue properties. Device mappings stay on this computer; bus choices travel with the show.
System default works without device permission. If needed, Allow devices briefly requests microphone permission to reveal your outputs. No microphone audio is recorded or played.
Choose a local file or import a direct audio link. A webpage or embed link will not work.
Imported audio is cached in this browser where available. Keep a downloaded copy for other computers.
Master plays audio. Use the 0.3 server.js for individual Stop and Seek commands. Remotes share the pads and control that Master, without media or audio output. Session code holders can operate the show.
Standalone. No connections.
0.3: Click the show name to rename. Shift-click a pad to stop it, or use Stop in Now Playing. Scrub its progress slider to seek within the trimmed clip. More than three pads can be expanded; BGM has its own row. Outputs maps Main / Aux 1 / Aux 2 to devices on the playback computer; choose a bus per cue or for BGM. Browser permissions and device availability apply.
Empty pads offer local files or a direct audio URL. Imported audio is cached locally if browser storage permits. Saved shows contain the source link, not the audio. Loading only checks local cache and folder media, with no automatic external requests. You can download cached audio from the cue menu. Website restrictions may block URL imports; download the file manually in that case.
Drop an audio file on any pad. Click it, tap it, or press its keyboard key to play. Right-click for cue actions, or enable Edit pads on a touch screen.
Save Show downloads a .trashtracks (older .browserkeys files also load) file containing settings, not audio. When loading, choose your media folder. Relinking uses relative paths where available, then unique filenames. Duplicate filenames that cannot be resolved remain missing.
The waveform displays the whole source file. Drag the lower handles to trim, and orange top handles to set fades. Loop repeats the trimmed section; hold plays until release; toggle starts and stops. Exclusive affects other pads, not BGM. BGM has its own playlist and ducking controls.
Hotkeys use physical QWERTY positions: letters, numbers, punctuation, Space and arrows, without modifiers. Tab, Enter, Backspace, function keys and other navigation keys are not hotkeys. Old assignments on those keys remain in click-only pads. While typing or editing, pads do not fire. The page must have focus. Escape can also leave browser fullscreen; STOP ALL is always available on screen.
Colour tags use fixed Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet swatches, plus None. Older custom colours map to the nearest tag.
Escape stops everything immediately. Multiple pads can play together. The meter shows the local master signal. Remote users see the Master's meter and status.
Remote sessions need the included server, HTTPS and WebSockets at /ws. All commands go through that server in Alpha 0.3, so shared control needs an active server connection. Local Master audio keeps running if networking drops. No background network requests in Standalone.
Use Chrome or Edge for folder selection. Browser audio format support applies. Very large audio files use memory because waveforms and playback use decoded audio. UK/US keyboard symbols follow physical QWERTY key positions. Browser/OS shortcuts remain reserved. Alpha: test your show before live use.
